Low-temperature SCR denitrification reactor is the core equipment used for low-temperature environment in selective catalytic reduction (SCR) denitrification technology, which is mainly used in industrial fields with low flue gas temperature (usually 100-300℃), such as coal-fired boilers, cement, glass, chemical industry and other industries. Its core function is to convert nitrogen oxides (NOx) in the flue gas into nitrogen (N₂) and water vapor (H₂O) through the action of catalyst.
Working Principle
Low-temperature catalytic reaction: In a low-temperature SCR denitrification reactor, flue gas is mixed with ammonia (NH₃) and other reducing agents, and then passes through a catalyst layer (e.g., vanadium-based, manganese-based, or cerium-based catalysts), where a catalytic reduction reaction occurs within the temperature range of 100-300°C, converting NOx to N₂ and H₂O.
Catalyst selection: Low temperature catalysts need to have high activity, resistance to sulfur toxicity and water resistance to adapt to the complex flue gas composition under low temperature environment.
Reaction conditions: Compared with traditional high temperature SCR (300-400°C), low temperature SCR reduces the requirement for flue gas temperature and reduces energy consumption by optimizing the catalyst formulation and reactor design.
Performance Characteristics
1、High low-temperature activity: It can maintain high denitrification activity in the low-temperature range of 150-300℃, which effectively reduces NOx emission.
2, good selectivity: the reductant NH₃ mainly reacts with NOx to generate N₂ and H₂O, which reduces the occurrence of side reactions and improves the selectivity of N₂.
3、Strong anti-sulfur and anti-water performance: The specially designed and treated catalyst has better anti-sulfur and anti-water performance, and can operate stably in sulfur-containing and water-containing flue gas environment.
4、Small footprint: compared with high-temperature SCR denitrification reactor, low-temperature SCR denitrification reactor has a smaller volume and a smaller footprint, which is easy to install and use in places with limited space.
